1. Introduction

Kartik Aaryan is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Hindi films. He made his debut in the film Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011). In this, his character's five-minute monologue was considered the longest monologue made for a Hindi film at that time. Aryan's most successful release came with the sequel to the comedy Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, in which he delivered an even longer monologue, setting a new record. He has since initiated in the comedies Guest in London (2017) and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018).

Kartik Aaryan was born on November 22, 1990 (29 years old as in 2019) in Gwalior Madhya Pradesh to Manish Tiwari and Pragati Tiwari. Karthik's nickname is Koki. Both his parents are doctors by profession. He went to St. Paul's School and Kiddie School in Gwalior. Later, he moved to Mumbai and completed his BTech in Biotechnology from DY Patil College. Karthik left his engineering degree in the third year after being selected for his debut film Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), but later appeared for the final year exams. Karthik had dreamed of becoming an actor since 10th grade.

Kartik started his career when he was noticed by Luv Ranjan, a director, and was given a role as Rajat in "Pyaar Ka Punchnama". He got a lot of popularity after the film. In this, his character's five-minute monologue was considered the longest ever made for a Hindi film.

In 2013, he acted as Aakash in the film "Aakash Vani" and then in 2014, he played a leading role in the film "Kaanchi: The Unbreakable". The films also performed well at the box office. Later he also got a chance to act in the second part of “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” and in this movie, he gave a long speech the total length of the speech is 7.8 minutes. The film was a blockbuster hit and made tremendous collections at the box office.

Kartik was nominated for several awards for his performances in Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, however, he received the Stardust Award for "Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2" in the category Best Actor in a Comic Role.
